Canadian registered boat built 1980. Hull is carvel type mahogany planking over white oak steam bent frame with stainless steel fastening , backbone, keel and stem laminated African mahogany. Single owner, builder, and skipper since construction. The boat is fully equipped ready for the cruise with new engine, new sails and new galley equipment. This traditional ‘’Gloucester type fishing schooner’’, has been designed by Naval Architect Howard I. Chapelle and built by Jacques Fortin and finished in 1980. Hull is made with a carvel type mahogany planking 1 ¼’’ thick, over white oak steam bent frames spaced 12’’ apart, planking fastening is with stainless steel screws. Backbone, stern frame, keel and stem post are made of laminates African mahogany .Lead external ballast is bolted with ¾’’ dia. bronze bolts spaced 18‘’apart. White oak floors are fitted at every frame.
Accommodation includes two separated roofs, each with separated access door and ladder, peak cabin as forward escape hatch and ‘’V’’ berth. Enclosed toilet is fitted on starboard side with facing opposed side counter with sink. Main cabin is fitted with double leaf table at center with seating side by side; double berth and single berth. Athwart ship galley include stove with oven, refrigerator one port side and counter with sink opposite side.
Aft cabin is fitted with double berth port side and navigation table, pivoting chair, book rack, electrical panel and battery box on starboard side.
The cockpit is fitted with a dismountable pilot house allowing two modes of navigation; racing mode without wheelhouse and maximum sail area or cruising mode with variable geometry dodger having down win open side when sailing. Awning could be extended full breadth when at dock.
Access to engine is provided in aft cabin by means of removable stair casing panels. Battery box is located aft of navigating table pivoting chair. Two hatches are provided on deck at stern for access to steering gear equipment and storage.

This schooner with fine hull lines has been designed by Howard I. Chapelle , a well known Naval Architect and Maritime Historian who has published many books , plans and studies on schooners architectural evolution.
She has been cruising every summer time in Gulf of Saint-Laurent and kept on berth under cover for wintering six months.
This schooner is in fairly good general conditions, fully equipped and ready for the next cruise. Engine and all mechanical components including fuel tanks , exhaust line , shaft and propeller has been renewed in 2014.
Latest spring upkeep labour made prior 2019 insurance survey.
The boat anti-fouling and recaulking has been renewed and hull planking has been tested and find sound every where.
Both mast with spars has been laid down for a full overhaul with new varnish , all pulley . running and standing rigging has been inspected prior reinstallation.
As per latest survey recommendations. fire extinguisher has been reloaded and and safety flare renewed .
