Vintage 1964 Cruiser’s Inc 18’ 302. Beautiful wooden boat professionally restored with furniture finish smooth varnish and bottom paint!
Cruiser’s Incorporated was formed out of the Thompson family of boat builders in business since 1905. Their unique claim to fame was to bolt side boards securely to oak ribs, making one of the strongest wooden boats ever. The Thompson company was partially purchased by Chris Craft in 1962, who also made similar constructed lapstrake boats. The Cruiser’s yacht company is still making fine boats to this day!
This is a rare opportunity to own a museum quality piece of boating history; preserved, protected to last for years. Fifty six years old, but in pristine condition, and In spite of its age, this boat is one hundred percent operational with all systems functioning correctly. The boat was in the water and in use this summer.
Comes with 2 motors:
-Original 1964 65hp Mercury
-Powerful, modern1988 115hp Mercury (currently installed) Boat will easily do forty plus miles per hour. The motor has been overhauled with the following new parts for dependability:
Fuel pump, spark plugs, stator, trigger, switch boxes, carb kits, Battery, impeller, new base coat clearcoat paint and decals.
Motor comes with the original owner’s manual and a Shop manual. Current registration, clear Ohio titles for boat and motor.
Rare Optional 18 Gallon fuel tank, Electric trim on motor, Bilge pump, speedometer, retro radio with Bluetooth.
Trailer has new tires, bearings, brakes, lights, jack and has been sandblasted, primer and painted. Newly carpeted bunks. Pulls very nicely.
This boat has been preserved with the best materials: Epoxy sealer, 3m 5200, Petitt varnish and topside white. Bottom had been coated with ablative paint. Bilge area was cleaned, sanded and coated with clear epoxy followed by Kirby bilge paint. There is no rotten wood on the boat anywhere.
