Further Comments
Baby Zackaroo has been featured in four pages in Classic Boat Magazine, and has received mulitple 1st place awards at the Lake Tahoe Concourse. Baby Zackaroo is fully restored like new inside and out. Exceptional condition, runs and rides beautifully. Built by the Dwight Lumber company (1929-1935) of Detroit Michigan. At 17' in length it fits in most standard garages. Around 1996 a family in Lake Tahoe purchased the boat, and although it was in remarkably original condition, the previous owner had replaced the interior, and installed a post-war Gray Marine engine. In the winter of 2000 the vessel underwent a sympathetic restoration, all topside wood was removed and refastened, the original interior was reconstructed using period documentation, and the correct Stuart Warner gauges were located and restored, all existing hardware is as delivered. In 2004 the original Gray Marine 6-1-93 engine was located, and restored by Sierra boat company. There is only one other surviving Dee Wite 17' Split Cockpit Runabout. Includes a custom trailer and custom boat cover. For more information or photos email me at: me@opca.us or call 321 750 4800
